(More customer reviews)I tore my ACL a week ago, along with some additional meniscus and ligament damage.My surgeon recommended the VitalWrap system.I used regularly for 2 days and the swelling in my knee and lower leg is almost completely back to normal.The icepacks I used for the first 5-6 days had minimal effect.The unit is very easy to set-up and use.Even my 8-year old was able to hook it up for disabled dad.Seven years ago I had similar success following rotator cuff surgery, using a primitive system that I leased. It was basically a styrafoam color with a pump and rubber bladder, but it worked.This new system uses compression wrap, which is an added advantage.btw, my insurance covered the cost of this.One drawback, is that although it is a double plastic chamber for the ice,it is not very thermal so you only get about an hour out of it before you need more ice.Not sure why they didn't insulate it.I know this will be awesome once I finish the 4 weeks of pre-hab and then have the reconstructive surgery followed by rehab.
