(More customer reviews)My mother has painful arthritis in her hands, and we were unable to give her some of the usual medications because of side effects and drug interactions. We tried Boiron's Arnica gel, and it takes the edge off of her pain. She has used it for her hands. for sprains, and while rehabilitating from broken bones, and says that it makes her pain bearable. She often uses it when pain keeps her up at night, and it allows her to sleep. We have found no negative effects except that it is painful when used on broken skin (eg, small cuts or sores). Unlike other rubs, it has no scent. I use it myself after exercising. I don't know if it works for everyone, but I recommend trying it! (I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does not remove the pain entirely).
